Spaghetti al Pomodoro e Basilico

A classic Italian pasta dish with fresh tomatoes, basil, and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • 200g spaghetti
  • 4 ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti according to package instructions.
  2. In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté until golden.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 10 minutes until sauce thickens.
  7. Drain pasta and add to the sauce.
  8. Toss spaghetti with sauce until well coated.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan and basil.
  10. Serve hot, garnished with extra basil and Parmesan.
